Gamedrives in Samburu National Park

Step into the heart of Kenya’s wild north on an unforgettable journey combining adventure, culture, and conservation.

After a night in Nairobi you’ll immerse yourself in a three-day walking safari with Karisia Walking Safaris, covering 10-12 km per day through the Tumaren Conservation Area and neighbouring lands. This is a slow, mindful moderate to energetic pace – where you’ll walk alongside local guides, passing ancient sacred sites used for millennia by hunters and nomadic communities.

Next, we fly north to Samburu, stopping en route for a private visit to Reteti Elephant Sanctuary. Here, rescued orphaned elephants are cared for until they are ready to return to the wild.

Your adventure ends in style with three nights at the luxurious Elephant Bedroom Camp, with game drives revealing Samburu’s striking landscapes and extraordinary wildlife.

From walking the lands to watching elephants roam free, this journey is about connection – to nature, to culture, and to Kenya’s untamed spirit.
